Privacy
baby on the hip understands that you are entrusting us with private information when making purchases online. Baby on the hip will not use your personal information for purposes other than preparing your order and shipping. Credit card numbers are destroyed after being used for the purpose of online or telephone orders, and will not be retained within the store. Personal information included in online accounts cannot be accessed by baby on the hip staff, unless it is authorized by you when a purchase is made.
Shipping
Orders for shipment are processed within 48 hours of your online or phone purchase. Shipping rates are generated according to where you live. The following shipping rates apply:
Canada $13
Additional charges may apply for Nunavit, the Northwest territories, the Yukon, and other rural areas. If additional charges apply, we will contact you before processing your order.
Canada (for mattresses) $50
The U.S $15
IMPORTANT: You will have two choices for shipments within Canada. There is no extra cost associated with these options.
Option1 : Signature required. For the protection of your parcel the courier will need a signature from someone at the designated address. The delivery will be from 9am-5pm Monday to Friday. There will be only 3 attempts to drop off this package. After 3 attempts are made, the parcel is then delivered to the nearest Fed Ex Depot for you to pick up. After a designated wait time specified by the local depot, the item will then be shipped back to baby on the hip where you can pick the parcel up. baby on the hip will not be responsible for any subsequent shipping.
Option 2: Signature not required. The delivery will be from 9am-5pm Monday to Friday and left at your residence. Choosing this option absolves baby on the hip of any responsibility for theft, damage, or other shipping problems. Any issues arising when choosing this option must be resolved directly with fedex.
Items will arrive by Fedex within 3-5 business days. Baby on the hip is not responsible for orders held at international borders for customs purposes. A tracking # will be provided to you when a purchase is made online. If you would like a tracking # provided to you for an order made on the phone, please let us know when placing the order.
Returns
baby on the hip is happy to exchange or offer store credit for any items purchased in the store or online. Baby on the hip does not provide refunds. All exchanges must include original packaging, tags, and must be in re-sellable condition. Exchanges must be made within 30 days and be accompanied by a receipt. All sale items are final sale. If you would like to exchange an item and do not have the receipt or received a gift without a receipt, the item will be valued at the lowest price at which it has been sold. If you purchased an item online and are dissatisfied with your purchase, please send the item back to:

You will be responsible for shipping charges of your items to and from the store. If an error was made by baby on the hip when your order was processed, then we will be happy to pay for any shipping charges necessary to correct your purchase. If you have received an item that was damaged or somehow defective, please phone or email us. A refund may be issued and or a replacement item shipped to you for free.
Workshops
Any workshops, including Infant CPR, require a credit card # in order to hold your spot in the class. The credit card you provide will be charged on the day of the workshop. We are unable to accept cash or debit charges for the workshop. 48 hours notice is required to change or cancel your spot in any workshops.
Gift Baskets/Corporate Gift Program?
